Supported the school that expelled young black female student for not standing during the pledge of allegiance. Majority of contributions come from lawyers/lobbyists and unions. Endorsed by TX AFL-CIO. Plans to withdraw Texas from lawsuit to end DACA, as well as the lawsuit to repeal ACA. Nelson believes that family separation at the border and elsewhere in regard to immigration is a humanitarian crisis.
