Democratic member of the US Senate, incumbent running for re-election. Voting Rights champion - Sponsored SAVE VOTERs Act which “would amend the National Voter Registration Act to clarify that states can’t use someone’s failure to vote or respond to a state notice as a reason to target them for removal from active voter rolls.” Supports Sanctuary Cities and is against family separation, at the border and otherwise. Low interaction with progressive platforms for policing and mass incarceration. Reproductive health advocacy is apparent, with a Planned Parenthood endorsement and recommendations to expand ACA.
Richard Cordray for Governor

Former Attorney General of Ohio running for Governor. Former director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, recent advocacy mentioned in the press: “At the CFPB, his last job, Cordray led the way in bringing about $12 billion in relief for harmed consumers and took major enforcement actions against firms such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Citibank for their wrongdoings.” Cordray is Pro-second amendment and is endorsed by the Ohio FOP.
He also supports free community college and has been backed by the Ohio SEIU, AFL-CIO and other big Labor. Cordray is an advocate for expansion of reproductive health and is endorsed by Elizabeth Warren. He has the potential to be pushed toward more progressive politics.

VOTE YES on Issue #1
The measure makes drug possession offenses misdemeanor offenses, prohibits individuals from being sent to prison by the courts for non-criminal probation offenses, creates a sentence credit program for inmates that go toward rehabilitation, and requires the state spend the savings on drug treatment, crime victim, and rehabilitation programs.
